When behind the decks, the unflinching DJ unleashes a sophistication that makes you lose yourself in the music. Rocking first – class events from coast to coast and locally, the stand out Indianapolis native has become a sensation that spins circles around the status quo.

His fixation for music began with the purchase of his first record in 1989 from Frog’s Records in Indianapolis. But his flair for shining behind the music began in high school when he used turntables he got for his birthday to build a loyal following at local parties and create exceedingly popular mix tapes.

After college, DJ Limelight reignited his love for making a room move and is the first to admit that deejaying chose him.  “I tried my hand at a few different things,” he says, “but it all came back to my first love – the one thing i would do for free.”

Now flexing his musical muscle at nearly 200 gigs a year, he has become one of the Midwest’s most sought after deejays. From fashion shows and photo shoots in New York to Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, his eclectic sound has not only captured the attention of premiere brands like Turner Sports, Belvedere Vodka and Red Bull USA, but has also landed him a coveted weekly 5pm mixshow slot with Indianapolis’ Radio One affiliate. In addition, DJ Limelight has a coveted residency at Blu Lounge where he is credited for the venue being voted by local media as “Best Bar of the Year,” “Best Martini Bar,” “Best Ultra Lounge” and “Favorite Trendy Bar.”

Having deejayed alongside likes of legendary hip hop DJ and producer Pete Rock to electronic music’s DJ Keoki, DJ Limelight has a keen ability to flavorfully fuse a vast range of styles from rock to hip hop. His Michael Jackson tribute mix, The Meaning of Michael, embodies his insightful turntable and production prowess, leaving music fans in awe and hailing the compilation as “Ridiculous,” “Beautiful” and “Amazing.”
