CNN profiles one of hip hop’s legendary tastemakers and influencers, Bobitto Garcia aka DJ Cucumberslice aka Boogie Bob.

I remember hearing tapes of he and Stretch Armstrong’s world- famous Stretch and Bobbito Show in the mid 90’s.  This is when people taped from the radio (yeah, I know).  The show was so dope that DJ’s jacked freestyles and excerpts from it for their mixtapes.  CNN did a good job of highlighting Bob for their Latino in America series which airs October 21st and 22nd at 9pm.

Bobitto’s contributions to the culture are pretty remarkable to say the least.

Seeing “Rza” in a headline on CNN is a momentous occasion.

The posterity value in this headline > everything else.
