For the first time in my life, my great state of Indiana actually matters politically on a national level. First Billary unabashedly downs shots of Crown Royal, now Barak is brushing his shoulders off. I seriously thought O-Dog had “Dirt Off Your Shoulders” cued up to play when I first saw the video… He’s just cool like that. That’s precisely why the big homie’s getting my vote as well as the vote of virtually the entire hip-hop generation. He’s modestly brilliant and cooler than polar bear toenails. The fact that presidential a candidate is referencing Jay-Z songs (in a good way) let’s me know our great nation is headed for brighter days.

Following in the footsteps of Nasir and Christopher before him, Dwayne is using a baby picture for Tha Carter III album cover… I think the album will be solid, but I’ll end up buying the album based on the genuiousness-ess of this picuture alone. DISCLAIMER: I don’t have ANY confirmation on this one whatsoever. I hope this is the real deal and not some one’s Photoshop efforts gone awry.

I hate being wrong… Especially when I think I’m right. Turns out I got sonned – twice! CMYK discretely sonned me in a text message, THEN Gabe hit me up like, “it’s ok… you aren’t the only one that thought that” after she peeped my Myspace tag line…sonned.

The sonnage in question is about Jay-Z’s line in I Know. I could’ve sworn that he said:

“I am so dope, like Louis Vuitton’s with the red bottoms…”

Nope… In real life, the line is:

“…like Louboutin’s with the red bottoms…”.

From what I hear, Christian Louboutin is a high-end designer known for really fierce (and expensive) women’s shoes with red soles. When I reach red carpet status, my model, arm candy date will be rocking some of these jawns. Best believe I’ll have on a pair of Dunks – 24-karat ones. No I won’t… These will do…

It’s pretty widely known that I’m a fan stan for a few artists… Stevie, Biggie and Dwele… The latter I don’t think can do any wrong. He’s not put out a bad song that I’m aware of (and I have them ALL). I truly hope this means he’s dropping something new soon. Peep his new song, “I’m Cheatin”.
